Panel Discussion

Parent Panel: Confronting Cultural Bias at Home and in Educational Settings

A little over a month ago, we had the opportunity to hear and learn from people who know our students best… parents! In this panel discussion we are joined by Tessa Anderson and Lara Scott to discuss the role of parents in their children’s education, the partnership that can be fostered between educators and parents, and conversations that parents can have at home. They are two phenomenal parents who are shifting perspectives and policies in their community while working with educators to identify and confront cultural bias in education.

As always, we hope you enjoy and take time to reflect on your practice. Start a conversation below, what was a takeaway? What might you consider changing or doing more of?
