A Conversation with Laleña Garcia

Earlier this week, we had the opportunity to learn from Laleña Garcia. Laleña is a Kindergarten teacher from New York City who likes to talk about big ideas with little people. We discussed the “how-to” behind starting conversations in the Early Childhood learning environment and ways that educators can feel prepared. Take a second to go to Rooted Kids for continued learning!

More Information

Laleña has a beautiful book, What We Believe, which you can buy from your local independent bookstore, directly from Lee & Low, or on the internet from Bookshop and Indiebound, among other places. Link here: leeandlow.com/books/what-we-believe

We are also lucky enough to have a resource from Laleña which includes books, videos, articles, and documents to reference for “authority.” That link is here: bit.ly/3bsa6p4

As Laleña mentioned at the end of our conversation, she will be offering a six-week course for adults this summer which you can register for through her website: rootedkids.org
