Landon Innovation Awards

Landon Awards are granted to early childhood innovators with big ideas to help create a stronger early childhood system and help ensure the well-being of Vermont’s youngest children. These awards are focused on work being done within the scope of topics in the Early Learning & Development Exchange.

Landon Award applications are accepted
May 1 – October 15, 2021.

Guidelines

For the 2021 S. Whitney Landon Awards, we are focusing on topics that are being addressed in our Early Learning & Development Exchange initiative: Climate Change & Early Learning and Development; More Than Hope (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion); and the Scope of Early Learning & Development.

More information about these topic areas can be found at eldexchange.org.

We are eager to learn about what you are doing in these topic areas, and how it will positively impact the learning and development of our youngest children.

Submissions, Due Dates, and Decisions

The 2021 Landon Award applications will be available May 1, 2021.

Completed applications are due by October 15, 2021.

Applicants are encouraged to contact Linda Allen—802.735.4249, info@eldexchange.org — at the Exchange to discuss their ideas prior to applying. Upon submission, applicants will receive notice that the application was received.

The Landon Award review committee will consider all applications received by the due date.

Applicants will be notified by November 15, 2021.

Grant Amounts

Given the challenging financial times, we have decided to offer the total grant pool as smaller grants to both benefit more organizations and reward as much innovation as possible.

Grant awards will range from $500 to $3,000.

The 2021 Landon grant pool is $30,000.
